The BWP was the strongest studbook in the final for the six-year-old show jumpers at the WBFSH Championships in Valkenswaard. In the impressive Tops International Arena, the number 1 of the WBFSH world ranking of studbooks actually proved to be the front runner.
Gilles Van Hamme started right away very well with Ransome 111 (El Barone 111 x Der Senaat). The breeding product of owner Harrie Theeuwes excelled in both canter and jumping. After a formidable round, however, a time penalty appeared on the scoreboard. In the tricky, but very fair course for the horses, many rails fell on the beautiful grass floor. But second BWP rider Jeroen De Winter limited the damage to one rail with Rhapsody van het Netehof (Chacoon Blue x Darco). Final rider Jan Vermeiren, with Rhythm-K van 't Kattenheye, was even one of the three competitors who managed to keep the slate completely clean.
Second place was for the remarkably strong Danish studbook. With a rock-solid clear round by Georgia Wells and Heart of Cicero (Cicero Z x Heartbreaker) the AES secured bronze.
