Hanoverians finish the job in the five-year-olds

Oct 1, 2023

The Hanoverian studbook was able to cash in on its leading position after the qualifying rounds of the five-year-old show jumpers today at the WBFSH championships in Valkenswaard. The trio of Hanoverians were allowed to start last, looked at how the course worked out and took victory with only four penalty points.
Tim-Uwe Hoffmann with the Diarello 3, bred by Stefan Aust, and Jaroslaw Skrzyczynski with the stallion Constable, owned by its breeder Ilona Turowska, kept the slate clean. With strong rounds on careful horses, which cooperated well with their riders, they laid the foundation for Hanoverian victory. The jumping fault made by William James Passy and Dicardo 7 posed no threat to the Hanoverian victory.

The course was again delicate, but certainly not too tough for the horses. Many small mistakes were made, at different places in the course, making for an exciting battle with small differences between them. The teams of Zangersheide and AES shared second place (8 penalty points), followed by the teams of Irish Sport Horse and BWP (12).
