New Ranch Location 2021
We are excited to announce the Blue River Horse Center (BRHC) has a new summer home at the former Hillyard Ranch property, 35405 Highway 9, starting April 15th of 2021! Fifteen minutes from the heart of Silverthorne, this new location will allow us to continue to provide leadership programs, emotional awareness programs for children and adults, as well as foster care and rehabilitation for rescued horses to help them get adopted.
The Work Ahead
The property provides a landscape rich with opportunity for BRHC: two existing barns, 80 acres of riverfront grazing, several smaller fenced paddocks, loafing sheds, eight private stalls, plus an apartment and office space that well exceed our current needs, allowing us room for growth.
The property has been vacant for several years, and we have our work cut out for us to ensure it is safe and secure for both horses and guests. Blue River Horse Center depends on our amazing and generous volunteers, and we would really appreciate your help in preparing the site.
Calling all Volunteers!
If you can come and help, even for an hour, please sign up on our calendar and help us prepare for the arrival of the horses and our new season of educational programs!
Your support through membership is vital to our mission's success, and we would greatly appreciate your purchasing a 2021 BRHC Membership, which provides many exciting experiences and opportunities which are not available to non-members at the ranch. In addition to the annual benefits you receive, we are also encouraging your early commitment to help us fund upgrades to the new facilities and start-up expenses.
For all those who love horses and understand the benefits horses bring to our world, whether you want to be an active participant or an armchair enthusiast and supporter, please consider a membership for yourself or a friend/family member to allow us to continue this vital work in our community.
Here we go!
